Monday Truclusions – The Love For Our Motherland & Mother’s Love!

Monday is back, and so am I, with this week’s Monday Truclusions. It so happened yesterday that I was thinking about the best moments of FIFA 2018. Whether it were the goals by Ronaldo, the loss of Argentina to Croatia, the loss of the German team to Mexico… or Croatia reaching the final after hard fought battles! But no it wasn’t any of it. For me it was the last match that Japan played.

The Japanese Football Act That Had The World Stunned

Now you would ask me what was so special about that match? Apart from the fact that it was a hard fought game and Japan lost at the nth moment, the thing that stood out was something that happened after the match!

It was the Japanese supporters in the stadium and the team itself that made the difference. Though Japan lost the match, both the supporters and the team cleaned the stadium and the locker room! All of them were in tears but they didn’t leave the stadium in a dirty state. They felt that if they did so it would bring bad name to their motherland.

I felt that the mindset exhibited by them was very special. They were mature enough to think about the image of their country even when they were under stress. Such commitment can mostly happen only in deep relationships. The deepest relationship known to human race is motherhood. Today I wish to tell you about a very special mother. But before that I would like to tell you a story, it goes like this!

Mothers – Real Life Angels In Disguise

There was this small family consisting a father, mother and a little girl. The parents adored their daughter like any other parents. The little girl meant the world to them. The father was a magician and the little girl being as smart as she was, used to pick up tricks from him.

Whenever her mother asked her to do any work, she would try to do it with magic. Her mother asked her to do things by herself, so that she learns hard work in life. But the little girl wouldn’t understand. One day the mother really got mad at the daughter and scolded her. The little one felt very bad and locked herself in her room, and didn’t eat her food all day.

After her father got home in the evening, the mother narrated to him all that had happened that day. The father went to the little girl and asked her why she was so mad at her mother? The girl said, her mother wanted her to struggle and do things by herself, while she could do things easily using magic.

Her father took her to a small closet where a magic wand was hidden. He asked her if she wanted to see some real magic? The little girl nodded her head in a yes, then her father opened the closet and took the wand in his hand. Things began to change, their beautiful house turned into a broken hut, the pet cat turned into a doll, the little girl’s beautiful dress and her father’s clothes turned into torn rags, but her mother turned into a beautiful fairy!

He continued to tell her that god had agreed to let her lead a human life, in return she had to sacrifice all her magical powers. The little girl was stunned to see what was happening, her father explained to the child how her mother had sacrificed her angelic life to lead a life of common human, because of the love she had towards her and her father. At that moment the fairy pleaded to god to restore her human life. God showed mercy and did so!

Jija Ghosh – First Person With Cerebral Palsy To Adopt A Baby

A mother is a person who can sacrifice all her happiness for her family, especially her kids. Now let me tell you about the very special mother I was talking about earlier. Imagine a lady who had to fight ordeals all her life caused by her disability, just to lead a near normal life. Now think about her problems if she had to parent a child.

But this didn’t deter Jija Ghosh from dreaming of mothering a child. More over she became the first woman in India with Cerebral Palsy to adopt a child. She had already become a trend setter by achieving a degree in M.A. But convincing the adoption committee of her being an able and responsible caregiver to the girl child who was abolished by her biological parents, was a different kettle of fish!

Despite all the challenges she never gave up. Finally the central adoption resource authority gave its consent and custody of the child to Jija, and considered it as a landmark decision for future parents. It’s a beacon of hope that PWDs could come forward to take up the huge responsibility of parenthood.

Food For Thought

The question is will the child Jija has adopted be grateful to her for all the pains she would take to give her a beautiful life? Are we grateful to people who are responsible to make us smile? Think about it!
