Only this article on Rahul Gandhi can have post script before the article! Jokes apart, we wish Mr. Rahul Gandhi a happy wala birthday. It qualifies to feature in toon-spriation because we believe that mistakes are stepping stones to success.

Rahul is believed to have obtained degrees in international relations and development studies at the universities of Rollins and Cambridge (BJP had raised questions since there was no thesis available at the university!). In 2004, Rahul Gandhi announced his entry into Indian politics by contesting in elections from the Congress fortress, Amethi, which he again won in 2014 by a narrow margin. Rahul Gandhi led Indian National Congress to its worst-ever election debacle in 2014 elections. His party failed to get even those numbers which were required to claim the position as the Leader of Opposition.

Mark Twain once said, “It’s better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than open it and remove all doubt”. Rahul Gandhi has an uncanny knack for trending on the social media, albeit for mostly all the wrong reasons. Some of Rahul Gandhi’s funny quotes–>

On Poverty- “Poverty is just a state of mind. It does not mean scarcity of food, money or material things. If one possesses self-confidence then we can overcome poverty.

On Politics- “Politics is everywhere.. It’s in your shirt.. in your pants.. everywhere.

On India- “There are people doing yoga in New York, dancing around; that’s the power of India. You go to a nightclub somewhere in Spain and there’s Amitabh Bachchan on the screen there, dancing around. That’s the power of India. That’s the power of Indian people.

Saving the best for the last. After “women empowerment, RTI and youth” were used repetitively by Rahul Gandhi in his first media interview by Arnab Goswami, Rahul naturally became scapegoat for all the jokes. One went like this– >YouTube removes Rahul Gandhi’s spoof video …and replaces it with Rahul’s interview!

Happy Birthday Rahul!
