Journey

A year into chasing our dreams, team KnowYourStar is so overwhelmed with the journey, that we thought our readers deserve a sneak peak into the behind-the-scenes of the people behind bringing the stars to you!

So we all sat in our respective corners and penned our hearts out. Not one was able to resist the nostalgia, as we let out our feelings in the form of words, flowing out of our hearts; but faster than the mind could comprehend. A rush of emotions as we thought back about how it all started, and the milestones achieved and the many more that we are all set to claim! Ahhh… It’s all just begun!

But YOU, our readers should know from us, that we are just a bunch of people like you who wanted to make a difference. We have still not achieved what many people successfully have. But we have taken that step and intend to take many more till looking back to the start doesn’t mean A YEAR but MANY YEARS… Many Successful Years!!!

We want you to know that once you have decided to do something good, for yourself, for your loved ones or your society, all it takes is a very little bit of determination and willingness. The rest will follow. Knowing our journey might fuel your hidden desire and set you on a journey of your own, waiting to be written!

So here’s a compilation of  THE JOURNEY by the six of us, just for you –

Jaideep Rao

“… After a year, things have not changed. We clearly know that we are no messiah, no Buddha. We know that rapes are still happening every minute, autistic individuals are still not in the main stream of society, water conservation measures are still not implemented, every student still longs to become a doctor or an engineer, peak of corruption is still not reduced by an inch, we still have not recovered our investments, our fan following in twitter or FB is nowhere close to TOI. So what have we achieved?…”

“…Thank you! As a writer, it’s a pretty good feeling when the server crashes when your write-up is put up on the website because you know people are flocking in to read. Thank you! As a human being, it feels nice when you generously click on the ‘like’ button or share it on twitter because it satiates my crazy human greed to be appreciated. Thank you!…”

“…Today, when I look back, it gives me immense pride and satisfaction to talk about KYS, what we have done and achieved. It has been a wonderful journey. If i get back in time and think of what we planned to do and what we are today, I find it very unreal. Hard work and dedication towards KYS are the reasons for what it is today. The entire team has been wonderful!…”

“… With KnowYourStar, my stars finally aligned themselves for me! It has given me the courage to change my stream and start a career in the field I’m passionate about. It has given me a purpose in life. It has made me more susceptible towards my duties to the society I live in. It has made me prone to the struggles of people. It has made me more understanding towards the plight of our country…”

Sharath Pandukal Ramesh

“… A trek to Machu Picchu in Peru, a visit to Petra in Jordon, start an eatery joint, learn at least one European language. Wondering what are these? These are few of the items in the bucket list of things to do before I die. When I was preparing this list, I started to realize that beneficiary of this list is going to be only me or it would bring happiness/satisfaction only to me. It was then the idea of extending the list of beneficiary to my people, my society, my country took shape. This prompted me to add few more but significant entries into my list.  These entries although less ornamental, were of more significance and closer to my heart…”
