In the year 1943, Dr. H.S. Nagaraj was born in Giddenahalli in Jigini, Karnataka. His childhood days were spent mostly in Herrur, Kunigal, Tumkar district, Karnataka. Prof. Nagaraj had 6 sisters and a brother. His father was a school teacher.
He studied in Vijaya College and National College, Bangalore. He worked in Vijaya College as Professor of Physics before starting BASE in 1991. BASE today is a vibrant organization focused on educational services, with a wide range of offerings. It promises to drive into the future making the best of the expertise through innovation in technology and processes.
BASE was started with 3 students in a small facility and today, has grown into a large organization, associating with 11 institutions all over Karnataka. It has consistently been the leader and is known for quality education.
Dr. Nagaraj was part of the Dept. of Education, Karnataka’s planning and implementation commission for Electronics in pre-university. He contributed in setting up the infrastructure and resources needed.
