Ajit Babu – Tackling New Challenges One Startup At A Time

This man—diagnosed with cerebral palsy and dyslexia at a young age—was a mischievous student, who dropped out of college, hopped from one call center to another, and rejected different jobs being offered under the handicap category, to finally start his own company… oops!… we mean companies! Having started or contributed to startups like Dream Click Concepts, Li’l Shapes and LifeHack Innovation, this energetic young man has transitioned from one startup to another beautifully, and wishes to do more of it in the future to solve various problem statements in the society. He is currently the Founder and CEO of LifeHack Innovation, which makes everyday products more efficient by using renewable energy.

Interviewing him was a difficult task for us because of the humility this man shows. He answers your question like it’s no big deal! In spite of that, he has inspired many people through his motivational speeches and his actions. A jolly person, a creative artist, a role model, a serial entrepreneur, a problem solver, a motivational speaker, a personality coach, and a cool friend to have- here’s introducing Ajit Babu.

Life As A Student

I was a pathetic student in school! (laughs) I was always a naughty and playful student, and kinda bad at studies. My homework was usually incomplete. But I was great at the cultural activities. I actively participated in theater, debates and all things fun. I hardly felt different growing up actually! That I think has contributed a lot to my way of unconventional thinking. It’s only when the world thinks you are different, you are. Learned it there!

Cerebral Palsy – The Good & Bad

Good : All the pampering and attention I get (laughs)

Bad: (laughs more!) I limp a bit, and sometimes I trip and fall. Otherwise how does it affect my life? In no way negative whatsoever.

The rewards, the recognition, and the attention I get is all because of my cerebral palsy. I get to have the power to change the world a bit and influence how the world works. I get to make an impact!

All About Starting Up

The trigger to start up my own company was I think the thought that startups are changemakers in the world. Doing a regular corporate job can only help you survive, pay taxes and complain. For me it was about living and not just existing.

The Start-Up Journey

The “journey” definitely hasn’t been a smooth one. From Dream Click Concepts to LifeHack Innovation, the ride has been a bumpy one. I’ve ventured into clothing, 3D printing, used goods, web media and a few other areas. It doesn’t mean I have founded startups in all these segments. Some I have co-founded, some I have been a consultant, and some I’ve mentored. But they are all a part of my bumpy startup journey. This journey I should say has made me the man I am today.

The LifeHack Update

The product I am currently working on is something that will make the lives of the specially abled easy. That’s all I would like to reveal about the product at the moment!
